I live in Huddersfield with my husband and worked for many years in Bradford as a primary school teacher.  I became involved in pastoral care in my church after attending an initial counselling course.  I set up The Listening Ear and saw at firsthand how various challenging life situations caused distress and affected people's emotional, psychological and spiritual well-being.  I developed a passion for helping those who are hurting and this led me to train as a professional counsellor.
